Proof & Mint Sets

Sales of United States proof sets peaked in the 1980’s and early 1990’s, while mint sets reached their high point in the mid-1960’s and late 1970’s. Many millions of these proof sets and mint sets were sold by the U.S. Mint directly to customers.
